Original films
What this site earns helps make new films.
We put a share of what movietrailer.channel earns into producing original films. The more people use the site, the more films we can help get made.
Filmmakers keep control
We back writers and directors and their vision. We don’t make films by committee or tell anyone what to shoot.
Starting small
We’ll back projects the fund can properly pay for, most likely short films from independent filmmakers to begin with.
Where we’re at
We’ve just started. No film has been funded yet. When the first one is, you’ll see it here first.
Hear about our first film
Only news about the films we fund. Unsubscribe any time. See our privacy policy.
Filmmakers: pitch us
Making a film? Tell us about it. We read every pitch, but can’t reply to them all.
Send only what you’re happy to share: a logline and a link, not a script. We may already be developing similar ideas, and sending a pitch doesn’t create any agreement or obligation on either side.
Questions
Does it cost me anything?
No. Using the site is free, and we will never ask you for money for the films.
Where does the money come from?
From what the site earns as a business, such as ads. It is not a donation or a crowdfunding campaign, and we are not raising money from the public.
Who decides what gets made?
The filmmakers. We choose which projects to back; the writer and director keep creative control of the film.
Who runs this?
MovieTrailer.Channel is published by Independent Media Network Pty Ltd in Melbourne, Australia. Questions: hello@movietrailer.channel.
