A down-on-his-luck inventor turns a broken-down Grand Prix car into a fancy vehicle for his children, and then they go off on a magical fantasy adventure to save their grandfather in a far-off land.
Struggling inventor Caractacus Potts scrapes together a rusty racing machine and, with a little ingenuity and a lot of heart, transforms it into something dazzling for his two children. Before long, the family's wildest imaginings take to the open road and beyond, as a daring rescue mission pulls them toward a kingdom where anything can happen.
