Planes, Trains & Automobiles 1987
Some journeys home are worth the detour, even with the wrong companion
A Chicago advertising man must struggle to travel home from New York for Thanksgiving, with a lovable oaf of a shower-curtain-ring salesman as his only companion.
A harried ad executive just wants to get back to Chicago before the holiday, but a blizzard of travel mishaps leaves him stuck with the most exasperating travel partner imaginable. Steve Martin and John Candy turn a cross-country scramble into a bumpy, big-hearted road comedy.
