Saving Private Ryan 1998

Following the Normandy Landings, a group of U.S. soldiers go behind enemy lines to retrieve a paratrooper whose comrades have been killed in action.

After the D-Day invasion, an elite squad of soldiers embarks on a desperate mission deep into Nazi-occupied France to find and extract a single paratrooper whose entire unit was wiped out. As they push forward through enemy territory, the men must confront the brutal realities of war while questioning whether one life is worth the cost of many. Their perilous journey becomes a test of courage, loyalty, and what soldiers will sacrifice for their brothers.
