Platoon 1986

Chris Taylor, a neophyte recruit in Vietnam, finds himself caught in a battle of wills between two sergeants, one good and the other evil. A shrewd examination of the brutality of war and the duality of man in conflict.

A young American soldier arrives in Vietnam and becomes entangled in a moral struggle between two opposing sergeants whose conflicting philosophies test his humanity. As Chris Taylor witnesses the chaos and cruelty of combat, he's forced to confront the darkness that war awakens in both others and himself. The film strips away any romantic notions of conflict to expose the raw brutality and moral ambiguity that defines combat.
