Blood runs thicker than water, and loyalty comes at any price.
The aging patriarch of an organized crime dynasty transfers control of his clandestine empire to his reluctant son.
In postwar New York, a family's crime empire faces a changing of the guard as its powerful head begins to step back. The question is whether his youngest son, who has kept himself apart from the family business, can be drawn into a world he never wanted.
